


Fortunately, TVPaint is a very stable, well-established software and there are not too many technical issues to overcome, but unfortunately when you do have an issue you may find that the response time from the Tech Support team at TVPaint is slow. For the price of the software, the tech support should be more responsive. You don't have to pay extra for Tech Support, but it can often result in delayed response time from the tech support team and many users complain of their tech support requests being ignored. I think the main area that needs improvement is the customer support/technical support. Some people complain that there is no monthly subscription plan for TVPaint, so the initial start up cost to purchase it is high, but in fact over the long run TVPaint PRO is less expensive than a comparable software such as Toonboom Harmony Premium.

Camera tool and Multiplane Camera tool in TVPaint need improvement to be on par with AE or Harmony. Overall, TVPaint is great, but since you asked: the Camera tool is usable, but is not as sophisticated as in softwares like After Effects or Toonboom Harmony.
